SMR has partnered with Seattle Housing Authority on a site within the redeveloped Yesler Terrace neighborhood. Hoa Mai Gardens will provide 111 1- to 4-bedroom units of affordable family housing. Breathtaking views of the Puget Sound and Cascade Mountains will be enjoyed by residents. No fossil fuels are used in the building systems, which include: solar hot water pre-heat, rainwater harvesting and gray water piping systems for toilet flushing. The west side of the site is a pedestrian path that is part the Yesler Terrace neighborhood’s network of walking and bicycling pathways.
